TOUR #1
★ Hoover Rojak (Bib Gourmand) ★
Rojak is a traditional mix of fruit and vegetable salad, found commonly in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The Singapore style is sweet and comes with dough fritters, a salad mix and lathered with pungent black prawn paste.

★ Liang Zhao Ji Roast Duck Rice (Bib Gourmand) ★
Succulent Cantonese style braised duck which has 12 different herbs in the braising sauce. This Bib Gourmand stall has been around since the 1960's!

★ Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodles (1 star) ★
The best Teochew style Bak Chor Mee aka minced pork noodles in Singapore. Al dente noodles tossed in a savoury vinegary sauce, tender pork and liver slices with minced pork, dumplings finished off with a sprinkling of fried sole fish.

I first learned about BonAppetour on Instagram. Their ad popped up on my feed and it got me curious. My family and I were very keen on trying out the Michelin star hawkers here in Singapore but we never have the time to cue up (as waiting could take up to hours and that doesn't guarantee you getting a meal as these hawkers get soldout early). Their food tour was the perfect opportunity for us to try these famous meals. So without knowing what to expect, I booked a tour for us. Booking was easy as it was confirmed quickly by the host. I had a few questions and he answered some. As the tour was approaching, My husband and I started to get worried as they weren't replying nor contacting us as to where or how we should meet. We were starting to think that it might be a fraud. Fortunately, on the morning before the tour, we decided to contact someone from BonAppetour's website. We got a response and finally was able to breathe properly as it was a legit tour. We met our guide at Lavender station and started our tour. It was a great experience for all of us. BonAppetour even provided a small slice of cake and sang a birthday song for our daughter's birthday. Good attention to details as I've mentioned prior that we were celebrating her birthday. Overall, the small hiccup in the beginning was okay as the whole experience made up for it. It was very liberating experiencing Singapore culture at its finest. Thanks, BonAppetour!
