ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

Ciao! My name is Cassidy! I live in Rome and I offer personalised food tours in Rome for small groups (up to a maximum of 6 people).

I will take you to the best places around town for cappuccino, a gelato, wine, and pastries. You will get to learn about Italians culinary arts and even pick up a few Italian words and phrases in the process. We will talk about wine, olive oil, and all the other cultural rules and idiosyncrasies so you will get to know the true Italian lifestyle a little better.

By the end of the tour, your belly will be stuffed, sure, but you will also know what it is like to be a Roman for a day.

ABOUT THEMENU

To begin this tour, we will meet up at my favourite cafe for coffee, cappuccinos, and other sweet treats. During this time, I will get the pleasure of learning a little bit more about you and your food preferences. Based on this conversation, I will tailor the rest of the day to fit your specific wants and needs.

Next, if it is still early enough, we will go for a short walk to a locals only open air market. Here, you can see the fresh fruit and vegetables, and even fish. Prices here are very reasonable, and you can even stock up on groceries during your visit!

After this, we will continue to tour Trastevere, as I share my pick of restaurants and cafes, munching on cannoli and the best organic gelato as we wander about the narrow streets and intricately designed churches that we are famous for.

Lastly, we will round off the evening by sitting down at a lovely wine bar which serves hundreds of different wines and an endless buffet of appetizers with everything from lasagna, cheese, and olives to quinoa, curried chicken, and fruit.

ABOUT THELOCATION

Trastevere is located right in the heart of Rome, just over the Tiber river. It has all the charm that many people seek - the narrow cobblestone streets, the family life, flower shops, cute cafes, spunky graffiti, and plenty of cute dogs! The food in the area is amazing as well! If you are seeking a more authentic foodie experience with a local, then this is perfect for you.
