I am a Kenyan-American currently living in Houston, TX. I love food (good food especially) and I love cooking and experiencing new things and new cultures. I am currently very passionate about healthy eating and making healthy food exciting and delicious! (I do crave the bad stuff too...haha) I am also an avid traveler who has been to China, Singapore, Vietnan, Taiwan, Tanzania, South Africa, Mauritius, Egypt, Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Brazil, Switzerland, France, England, India, The Bahamas, Dominica and counting. My international interests and my personal views as a global citizen are certainly reflected in my cuisine as I do a lot of fusion cooking. But, I never forget my cultural roots either and love my Swahili food and heritage. I certainly love having guests over and I love cooking for my guests and sharing food with them. Culturally speaking, I think some of the best conversations happen over home-cooked meals!
