ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

I am the founder of the San Antonio cook club and San Antonio Small Dinner Parties, and have organized and participated in over a hundred foodie events and I pride myself on "cooking with love", as that is why my food is good, it comes from my LOVE of cooking! I have cooked just about every type of food, from various cultures, as well as styles and themes! Always open to new requests and always up for a challenge!

ABOUT THEMENU

While I can and have done just about anything, the local fare menu consists of several courses, with a with a little Latin jazz music going and a little "salsa rojo" (red salsa) and "salsa verde" (green salsa, made with lots of cilantro and fresh tomatoes), as well as some Margaritas made with fresh lime, fresh ruby red grapefruit, good tequila, some Margarita mix, and a floater of Gran Marnier. The rim of the glass is salted with a local favorite called, "Twang", not too salty, but actually a little tasty, and the ritas were on the rocks.
After the salsa, we will enjoy the "poblano asado sopa de crema" (roasted poblano cream soup). Rustic and creamy, delish!

The entrée, "Hatch verde de pollo enchilada cazuela" (hatch green chicken enchilada casserole is made with four fresh grated Mexican cheeses, white and dark chicken, fresh tomatillos and hatch peppers. The best of the whole meal, from my viewpoint! Served along side "borracho frijoles" (drunk beans) made with Texas' local Shiner Bock beer, fresh jalapenos, tomatoes and other veggies and spices. A healthier version of Spanish rice made with brown rice and various vegetables and fresh ground herbs.

For dessert, "Pastel de Tres leches" (three milk cake) drowned in a delicious three sweet milk combination and topped with homemade whipped cream and fresh kiwi, strawberries and nectarines! You'll love

ABOUT THELOCATION

San Antonio was recently named the "friendliest city", in Travel & Leisure Magazine, so we welcome everyone like they were family, with a "Mi casa es su casa" (my house is your house) attitude. While I predominantly reside in the medical center, I also stay and host at my various vacation rentals, which are within a mile or two from the main San Antonio scene.
