I will be making the Pen Cai (盆菜). We usually eat this dish during Chinese New Year and strangely, this one-pot wonder is so easy to make but I don't remember having it on a regular day. Pen Cai can be customized by using any of your favourite ingredients to flavour the dish. So do let me know what your favourite ingredients are so that I can add it in the Pen Cai. Some examples are prawns, pork, fresh scallops, roast chicken cooked in broth flavoured by nappa cabbage, dried mushrooms & dried scallops.

I will also be making some side dishes to go along with the dinner like some seafood puffs wrapped with beancurd skin.
